Best Polymarket Traders of October 2026: Who Wins, and Who Can You Copy?

Updated · 8 min read · by the PolyCopy team

BreakTheBank made $8.4 million on Polymarket in one month. Yet copying their bets at $5 each would have lost money. We analysed October's 10 biggest winners: who they are, how they win, and which ones a copier could actually follow.

How we did it

The ranking comes from Polymarket itself: the 10 accounts with the highest profit over the last 30 days (monthly leaderboard, taken on October 26, 2026). For each one, we went through every bet of the month using Polymarket's public data and measured:

  • their pace: new positions per day (for the fastest bots, on a sample of a few days of the month, since they place tens of thousands of orders);
  • their style: sports or not, in-play bets, favourites, buying both sides of the same market;
  • their picks at equal stakes: the average return of their bets if each had the same stake;
  • what a copier betting $5 per bet would have made, fees included, with and without their 5 best bets.

Profit: Polymarket's official monthly leaderboard on October 26, 2026, as published (it may include positions opened before the month). Copy: PolyCopy simulation on their bets of the month, or on the stated sample for bots; $5 per bet, bought 1% above the trader's price, bot fee (2%) and Polymarket fees included, open positions valued at their current price.

The whales: they win with their sizing, not their picks

BreakTheBank (#1) and joseph00677 (#2) bet almost only on sports. Their profits are huge, but at equal stakes their picks of the month lose: −4.9% on average for BreakTheBank over 376 settled bets, −24.9% for joseph00677 over 22 bets. They still win because they staked far more on the bets that came in. joseph00677 mostly buys favourites (0.83 median price), and 57% of their monthly profit comes from 3 bets.

A copier staking the same amount on every bet doesn't get that sizing, only the picks. And this month, the picks lost.

The bots: thousands of bets, razor-thin margins

Four accounts in the top 10 are automated programs:

  • UpTheBlues (#7): about 3,700 new positions a day on sports, mostly in-play, for a 1.4% margin on $159 million traded;
  • HomeRunHazard (#5): about 720 positions a day, buying both sides of the same game on 59% of the markets. It earns the spread between bid and ask, like a market maker;
  • Papeasy (#8): hundreds of bets a day on the 5-minute "Bitcoin up or down" markets;
  • balthazar (#10): about 700 positions a day across every topic, often favourites (0.80 median price).

Copying a bot doesn't work in practice: you would have to place hundreds of orders a day, arrive after the bot at a worse price and pay fees on every one. It is the same problem as RN1's. The copy simulation loses money on three of them, down to −7.9% of the amount staked for Papeasy. Only balthazar ends positive (+$813), but it took $22,650 in stakes in a single week, and without its 5 best bets the copy loses $481.

The arbitrageurs: profits without betting on outcomes

e46m3 (#3) and the anonymous account 0xb0e7…39d2 (#6) rely heavily on classic arbitrage operations: on multi-outcome markets (the Ballon d'Or, an election…), they merge and convert shares. e46m3 also buys near-certain outcomes in bulk, at a 0.97 median price. As for 0xb0e7…39d2, it bought almost nothing on the market this month: its profit comes from those operations and from older positions.

These strategies depend on several simultaneous orders and on speed. There is nothing for a copier to reproduce: copying e46m3's buys loses $889 in one week.

The in-play bettors

Diabolical-Prize (#4) and wr0ngw4yb3tt0r (#9) bet on sports, largely during games (41% and 61% of their stakes). In-play, prices move within seconds: the copier, arriving after them, pays more. Diabolical-Prize's picks win slightly at equal stakes (+2.6%), but that is too little to cover a copier's costs: the copy makes +$6 on 156 bets and loses $67 without their 5 best bets. wr0ngw4yb3tt0r's copy loses $82. And their great month hides a losing career: since they started, wr0ngw4yb3tt0r is still down $4.8 million on Polymarket.

What this ranking teaches

  • None of the month's 10 biggest winners can be copied with a fixed stake. They win through sizing, speed or technical operations, not through picks a copier could reproduce.
  • Of the 9 accounts that placed bets this month, the copy simulation loses money on 7. The other 2 are only positive thanks to a few big wins.
  • A leaderboard rewards size: an account betting millions reaches the top even with mediocre picks. To choose who to copy, you need other criteria: our six criteria.
  • Every account in the ranking has a detailed profile (pace, style, simulated copy): see them all on our Traders page.

And our verified traders?

Our four verified traders are not in this top 10: they bet modest amounts. But over the same 30 days, the simulated copy of each of them is positive.

A word of caution: over a single month, these results still depend on a few good bets. Without their 5 best bets, three of these four copies would be slightly negative. That is why we only select a trader after checking them over 12 months, quarter by quarter.

Frequently asked questions

Who is the best trader on Polymarket?

Over the 30 days to October 26, 2026, BreakTheBank tops Polymarket's monthly leaderboard with more than $8.3 million in profit, mostly on sports. But the biggest winner is not the best one to copy: at equal stakes, their picks of the month lost money.

Can you copy the top traders on the leaderboard?

Rarely at a profit. In October 2026, none of the top 10 could be copied with a fixed stake: bots, arbitrage, in-play betting or huge stakes on a few bets. You need traders whose picks win at equal stakes, over 12 months.

Is this ranking updated?

Yes, every month, with Polymarket's new leaderboard figures and a fresh analysis of every account.
